NO DAMAGED GOODS is the latest addition to Nicole Snows Hearts Edge Series, but its a complete standalone, so you dont have to read the others to enjoy this one…Although the others are good books… Peace Ms. Broccoli Rabe is a beautiful, twenty five year old hippie child, a massage therapist, a loner and a wanderer, and she wanders into Hearts Edge with her table and oils and moves into one of the cabins on the Charming Inn property and sets up shop for the winter…Sweet, kind and open to love and life, Peace is smart and an old soul, and when she meets Blake, shes, basically, done…..if she can just make him see it… Blake Mr. Silver Tongue Silverton is a hot, forty two year old, widower, a wounded, war veteran, an on-air radio personality, a firefighter and one of the heroes of Hearts Edge (whew!)…He is also the loving, mistake-making, single father of Andrea, a very normal teenage girl….When Blake sees Peace, he feels a spark, and she makes no secret she felt it, too, but shes too young for him (says who?)…. Peace notices Blakes injury and talks him into letting her work her magic fingers ….and that spark just catches fire…So, when dangerous problems arise in Hearts Edge, Blake moves Peace into his and Andreas home for Peaces protection…yeah, well go with that…..(Blake is in such denial)….He tries to fight both of their feelings, not only because he believes their age difference matters…(it doesnt)…but, also, he knows shes leaving when winter is over…and he cant ask her to stay….(unless she really decides to leave)….. I love how Peace is young and in love with life, how she plays no games and how she isnt afraid to pursue who and what she wants….I love how she and Andrea, organically, bond (they are closer to the same age than she and Blake are)…I love how Blake makes mistakes to fatherhood like most normal good dads…but he keeps trying like most normal good dads……I love these characters and their chemistry, and I love how the other characters I already loved in Hearts Edge, all played a part in this book… I love the twists and turns I didnt see coming…To summarize….I love this new addition to the Hearts Edge Series….And I didnt even mention that cover!!!

BEST I\’ve read from Nicole Snow, that\’s for sure! I loved how much focus there was on the romance in this one – though there was still plenty of drama and pulse-pounding action along the way. It feels like now that the mystery of Nine has been resolved, we can just sit back and enjoy the people of this small town and the trouble they get into. For those who haven\’t read the other books in the series, this makes a great place to start, because it easily stands on its own and doesn\’t rely on the reader understanding the complicated history of the town. With characters that are easy to like and a romance that goes from a slow burn to a SIZZLE, this has everything I want in a book from Nicole Snow. The story follows Blake, a battered and broken down single dad/widower whose sole focus is making sure that his teenage daughter and the town is taken care of. When a feisty masseuse comes into town and seems to bring trouble (and fires) with her, the two have an instant attraction that\’s only dampened by Blake\’s moody, broody nature. He struggles with his growing feelings for Peace, but she slowly wears him down until there\’s no denying that they\’re meant for more. I always enjoy Nicole Snow\’s romantic suspenses, but they\’re often a little heavy on the suspense for me or require the reader to understand the overarching storyline that connects the novels. This was so much easier for me to get into – it\’s 100% relationship-focused with a subplot that features mystery, drama, and ultimately, suspense without overshadowing the romance. I\’ll admit to being intimated by the length – yeah, it\’s definitely too long – but there wasn\’t ever really a lull or a point where I felt like the story was dragging. My connection to the characters was strong enough that I stayed interested the whole time – Blake makes a great hero with his tender side but definite growly alpha nature that Snow writes so well. Though there\’s a significant age gap between the two, I loved that Blake and Peace felt like equals and the age was never really a factor. If this is the direction that Snow is going with her Heart\’s Edge series, then keep them coming – and I know who I want to read about next. I received an ARC via Booksprout (then purchased it for my collection) and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Audiobook No Damaged Goods (Heroes of Heart’s Edge #4) by Nicole Snow
No plot spoilers No potential triggers There are no grammatical or editorial errors. So, I\’m a fair way into the series now, and page count wise you certainly get your moneys worth. I\’m not entirely certain you get value for that money. There are parts of the book that run a bit slow, there are other parts when you think the town of Hearts Edge would seriously have got rid of such a worthless sheriff years ago, and yet other parts where you have to admit some of the characters must be dense not to see what\’s in front of their noses. There are also parts where you have to wonder how the main characters get away with not following common sense or even legal procedure. Then again it\’s a novel, it\’s meant to be entertaining. I readily admit I have been entertained. There are lots of sex scenes each of them appropriate and loving, so if you are offended by these scenes don\’t buy the book. I gave five stars because the storyline is twisted, the characterisation is exceptional and the novel did it\’s job in providing an escape from reality for a little while.

Audio No Damaged Goods (Heroes of Heart’s Edge #4) narrated by Joe Arden Laurie Winkel
Fire fighter and the masseuse. Both a little damaged from life and all its ups and downs. It takes its time this one, there\’s drama and links to previous characters from this series of books. What I liked is this story is driven by it\’s beautifully written characters and dialogue with a simple storyline perfectly delivered. No surprises but it was a delight and pure escapism for a couple of hours. I wonder if the brother will hook up with the sister from the previous kidnapping story. Worth a look if you like a romance with substance.

Loved this book from the very beginning. Normally girls with purple tipped hair aren\’t my thing but Peace grabs you and just doesn\’t let go. Blake on the other hand is someone you want to fix. They are complete opposites and no way they should ever be a fit. However , as the story progresses that\’s exactly how it works with enough twists an turns along the way to keep it interesting. Blake\’s daughter is an added bonus with all the rebellion that goes with teenage years. This was a really good read and I highly recommend it.
