Probably my location and age. I live in the US and find British humor lacking. I am also not a Millennial or Gen Z so the whole Instagram self absorbed life style does not endear me to the characters. Kept reading in hopes of it getting better – but it didn\’t.

I was really looking forward to a laugh-out-loud book and this definitely wasnt it. Didnt laugh once. Almost gave up half way through but I try to finish any book I read. Maybe Im too old for this story line. Not on any social media and never will.

The story is well written and made me wnt to keep reading. It does deal with grief so it is not entirely light hearted. However the charcters are great and the story is wonderful.
