In our life, there is always a time to restart things and leave the past aside. Memories on most occasions tend to pinch us but if we have the right sort of companions then we can get over every type of trouble and difficulty. Isaac used to have a son once who was his whole world because this was one relation he was deeply associated with. Then his son Daniel died in front of his eyes and he was able to do nothing.

Since then the man has not been able to find anyone who can fill the gap in his life. As for the company, Isaac has one big dog that is there to save him from complete isolation. Right next to Isaac’s house lives Lorrie who also has some family issues because of which she is living in isolation.
The two could have been a lot of help for each other but they just don’t want anyone to enter their life now. JoAnne Tompkins after telling a lot about these lonely characters paints another character which is a sixteen year old girl. The girl comes into Isaac’s life out of nowhere and after being with her for some time he thinks that he would not be able to handle her alone. Thus he takes the help of Lorrie and together they start helping the girl.

Mark Deakins, Kriby Heyborne, and Kristen DiMercurio have narrated these three characters that start acting like a family soon they get united under a single roof. Hour of the Witch and The Maze Runner were equally mysterious but they were different kinds of stories. No listener can feel the time passing by when he is listening to these masterpieces.
