This old veteran happens to be one of those men who don’t show mercy towards his enemies and for him serving justice is the only thing that matters in the end. In this novel, the author takes us in the past and shows how this legend was originally transformed. John was not like that from the beginning and he never wanted to be a killing machine like this. When the circumstances changed around him, he was left with no choice except to bring out his true self in front of the world.

Here the author after telling us a few things from the past brings us back to the present where a new mission awaits Mr. Clark. It is something from his past that becomes a headache for him in the present and he has to do it quickly before things go out of hand. Michael Prichard has narrated it with superb skill and the action reminds many people, stories like The Hunt for Red October and Rainbow Six. The action is not happening all the time but some threats get mounted up on all sides of the hero.
