Oh My Goodness! Oh My Goodness! OH MY GAAAWWWD!
NOW I know why BB Easton waited to release the next two books of The Rain Trilogy close together. She knows that we would hate waiting. Like, I’m already missing Wes and Rain and it’s been mere minutes. I already want to know how their story ends.

Rain and Wes survived the apocalypse and lived past April 23rd. What happens next will fill you with excitement, laughs, love, fear, sadness, anger, a sense of shock and more questions.

I have been taken into this desolate world and wondering what our government and these characters have in store for us. I can see it and feel it and am drawn to these characters in this well executed story with characters that I love (and some that I really dislike). I don’t think I’ve ever read anything quite like it and I’m totally here for it. I loved the laughs and the characters, but I especially loved seeing Rain and Wes together and how they survive. It’s sexy and sad and raw and real. I CANNOT WAIT for book three!!

“I laugh and cry and look into the eyes of the a man who destroys beautiful things….but who also makes destroyed things beautiful again.”

Are you ready to see what happens after April 23rd? Because it will be like nothing you’ve expected and will totally leave you wanting more…in the best possible way!

Holy Apocalypse that wasnt an actual Apocalypse!! I am so glad this trilogy is not over yet. Although, Im not so sure that I will EVER be ready to let Wes and Rain go! My Heart cant take it! I have become so obsessed with what happens to them. I devoured this book, hung on every single syllable, until that ENDING knocked me off at the knees. Not gonna lie, Im a little terrified. No,Yall! Im A LOT terrified. I Cant Even think about what this could mean.
BB Easton, what are you planning to do to my heart?

“I knew from the moment I first laid eyes on Rainbow Williams that I would end up dying for her.”

I dont think I have ever been so glad an author is releasing the second and third books so close together. Two week is practically back-to-back when you are as in love with the characters and storyline, as I am.

Oh a really awesome thing about this book is that it gave you just enough nuggets of backstory info that it immediately jogs your memories to all the monumental stuff that happened in Praying for Rain. You can totally jump and be swept right back into Franklin Springs and whats left of its surrounding towns.

Good gravy at the character transformation in this book. I am so utterly in love with Wes and Rains characters. GAH I love how he looked at her, how he touches and cares for her. Oh.My.Gawd! SO HAWTTTTT! The way he become EVERYTHING to her. He taught her important lessons in survival. He had saved her so many times when she almost died. She knew as long as she was with him he would take care of her and everything would be okay. She looked at him like he was her protector, her saviour and her lover and future all in one perfect package.

“I would follow this man to the ends of the earth, which , from the looks of it, might be right here at Pitchard Park Mall.”

Wes shows us more of a vulnerable and less confident side to him than what would have expected. I think that when he and Rain are faced with things from their past, especially hers, he just acts impulsively as a defense mechanism to protect himself. Unfortunately, that will cause him to make some choices that are heartbreaking.
Rain becomes stronger like Wes taught her to be and she channels everything into being a caretaker. Even though shes rocking some pretty savage PTSD shes still managing to kick tail and take names and not just take everything that gets thrown at her. I hated what she had to go through and the circumstances surrounding it, but she is so much stronger for it. I get the feeling going forward she is sure going to need it.

There is a big chunk of the book where you are saddened by the turn of events, but I understood it and hoped it would change going forward. When hit with a gut-wrenching reality of what the new future looks like, Wes realizes that no matter what he will always protect his girl.

“This woman found me broken and made me whole, and I’m suddenly determined to do the same for her.”

As soon as you think you have figured out WTF is happening and your heart is safe…B.B. Easton will deliver a gut punch so hard it will knock you straight on your flippin fanny! Because that ENDING!! Are Yall ready?!?! This MUST be you next read. ITS that freakin PHENOMENAL!! If you havent read book one, start this TODAY!!!

My cr8zysockbookblock blog wrap up for this book!
– Obsessed with Rain and Wes. I was shocked by the twists and turns that came out about the April 23 plan. This book was way more that in could have even predicted and I honestly had super high expectations going in. BB Easton blew them away and then some. That ending though… that ending left my eyes filled with tears, my heart overrun with fear, hope, awe, and excitement and anticipation for the conclusion, Dying for Rain.
-OMG! HOLY HOT DANG! No matter what WEs and Rain are super explosive. They are fire and sparks and sometimes a sweet in a dirty way, just everything amazingly yummy I want in love scenes.
Cliffhanger Warning- Mega stop your heart and crush it cliffy!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Audiobook Fighting for Rain (The Rain Trilogy #2) by BB Easton

“I wish I could say I was surprised, but after everything I’ve been through, this just feels like a regular Tuesday.”

The wait for this baby was hard. The ending of Praying for Rain was spectacular, and the sneak peak of this one she put at the end? I’m pretty sure I threw my Kindle. A. Maz. Ing.

Fighting for Rain picks up right where Praying for Rain left off. It’s the day after the end of the world, and the world is still there. But the fight to survive has only just begun. After everything Rain and Wes had been through, you didn’t really expect rainbows and butterflies, did you? No matter how much this couple deserves just that, there’s still a lot left to do to get to where they need to go. And O. M. G. The ride on this one! Hold on to your hat, because it’s going to get tough.

The characters in this book were fantastic. There’s a whole host of new ones that gave me all the feels – although a few of those were on the strong side of “I want to punch you in the throat.” But those sweet ones, the ones that had me tearing up, were also some of the best. There was one point where I’m pretty sure I choked on my drink before spitting it across the room. There’s a good chance you’ll know it when you see it, so…. be careful of what you’re drinking. You’ll thank me for that.

We all know this is a trilogy. Of course there’s going to be a cliffy, something to entice you to come back for the last book. But the cliffy here? Yeah, it’ll have you diving off the cliff and frothing at the mouth as you wait for the conclusion to this amazing book.

Audio Fighting for Rain (The Rain Trilogy #2) narrated by Alex Kydd Madeleine Dauer

I absolutely loved Praying for Rain I’d never read anything quite like it before, so I couldn’t wait to read more.
In Fighting for Rain we see Wes and Rain trying to survive the aftermath of the supposed Apocalypse that was meant to end everything on April 23rd.

Now it’s April 24th and they’re left wondering what’ll happen next. There’s Apocalyptic mass destruction everywhere. It’s a barren wasteland of despair and destitution.
Wes and Rain still have many obstacles to face they need answers but survival is still top of the list.

I love Rain in this series at times she’s so strong and a survivor, but Wes owns me. My heart hurt for him, I felt his anguish. From a young age he’s survived on his own, never feeling wanted or loved. So he has never felt the need to care for anyone in return….until Rainbow Williams. Now he will fight with everything he has to protect her.

OMFG!!! That ending….Gob smacked is an understatement. It was fantastic and exhilarating. I’m anxious to find out how it all ends.

Fighting for Rain & Dying for Rain – B.B Easton

Book 1 – Praying for Rain
Book 2 – Fighting for Rain
Book 3 – Dying for Rain
.
.
I really enjoyed this series, and got though it so quickly. Each book follows straight after each other and is it dual POV.
In dying for rain, Rain really does step up with great strength and determination.

This was my first apocalypse series and I enjoyed it a lot more then I was expecting even with things which normally annoy me (insta love) you just get so captivated its full of action, fear, violence and love. I got gripped and invested into the characters quickly. It was written well.

It would be a series I recommend.
