So far, I love it and relate. Im biracial to a black dad and white mom and have shared many of these moments, stories and feelings my entire life. In a post-Trump time where too many of my white friends and family have become far too confident with their willful ignorance to racism and bigoted views, Ive lost many of the people that I used to feel confident around. With the weight of social injustices, emboldened racists from the top of our political systems, and the social isolation during COVID, I feel often times like a volcano about to erupt. Never being able to truly trust the safety of the spaces I am in to vent my mental exhaustion. Therefore Ive been reading a whole lot more these days. Thriving on with a long-needed fellowship. I enjoyed Cole Browns way of describing situations, people, and especially his experiences both from the inside and outside. Im not black, not a man, but I felt when I read this book. I hope the author continues his literary journey and I cant wait to see what is next.

The first thing that struck me about this book was the eloquence of the prose. Exquisite! The insights the author communicates through his and other’s experiences allow the reader to see and feel his struggle.
