One of the best series I have ever read!!! In this final book we learn more about Sedona Bailey who is the identical twin to Phoenix. Jamison is an exchange student from Scotland who is King on the soccer field. When Sedona is given the opportunity to interview Jamison for the school paper, Jamison comes off with a snarky comment and surprises Sedona as she’s never met him before. When Miles who is a friend of Sedona’s lets on that Jamison met Phoenix before and not Sedona, Jamison then asks Sedona out to Lard Have Mercy for pie and a coffee and to do the story.
To make a long story short, these two get together and fall in love and move to New York after high school where Jamison plays pro soccer and Sedona goes on to take classes for journalism. After being together for a couple of years, Sedona gets pregnant and Jamison gets a life changing injury that gets him out of soccer. Jamison starts spending more time with his ex mates and drinking and coming home drunk. Sedona can’t bring a baby into a situation like this she moves back home and has a beautiful daughter named Palmer who also is deaf.
When this story begins is when Jamison is coming back to Lake Starlight to get his girl and daughter back but boy does he have a hill to climb with all the Bailey’s. Especially Phoenix who is very protective of her twin sister. Not only does Jamison meet his daughter, but he also gets told of her deafness. He begins to sign to his daughter and is amazed at how much she has learned. Jamison is very good at sign language as he grew up with a deaf uncle.
As Jamison and Sedona get closer, grandma Dori does her extra nudges to get these two even closer. Kingston even gets more positive about their relationship as he and Jamison were friends before they left town.
This story is filled with so much love and mutual respect, and loads of fun. I wish we could keep going with the Baileys but I am truly excited to hear that we are going to get into Dori’s best buddy Ethel’s family. The Green’s. Hallelujiah!!! More close family action.
Please read all of the Bailey’s stories, I promise that you will love each and every one. Piper and Rayne are amazing authors and I love the romantic comedies that they write. Enjoy!!!

This has been such a journey! Nine siblings finding their HEA. I loved every smile and every tear. The Bailey Clan will forever hold a special place in my heart.
Sedona is the last of her siblings to get the happy ending she deserves. The boy who won her heart in high school has grown into the man who will have it forever.
He was the foreign exchange student from Scotland that all the girls wanted, but he only had eyes for her. His soccer career took them on a crazy ride and Jamison lost his way.
The only way to protect herself and her unborn little girl, was to leave. He was spiraling out of control. She walked away and headed back home.
Its been eighteen months and her and Palmer are doing great. Being a single mom has its challenges, but having a family that pitches in helps pick up the slack. She never expected Jamison to literally walk back into Lake Starlight and want them back…until the day he did.
Hes in for an uphill battle facing all the Baileys, but his girls are worth it. All he wants is Sedona and Palmer. He has made mistakes, but he owns them. Hes worked hard to gain his sobriety and he plans on doing whatever it takes to get his family.
This was a story of redemption and unconditional love. They were broken for a time, but the love for each other never waned. Jamison was dedicated and being a dad brought out the best in him. His daughter being deaf only made him work harder to give her everything. Sedona was strong and brave. She took on being a single mother and worked toward her independence. The two of them together was steamy. And as a family, they were the sweetest.
Im hoping this wont be the last we see of the ever expanding Bailey clan. Theyve become like family. Youll get more babies, a few more on the way and the ever present Gradma Dori, who we all love. And youll finally find out about the best kept secret in Lake Starlight.
This was a great series and I thoroughly enjoyed the ride. I feel like I should be an honorary Bailey!

Audiobook Rules for Dating Your Ex (The Baileys #9) by Piper Rayne
Ahh, I can’t believe this the last Bailey book! Its bittersweet and I am so sad this is the end. I am going to miss this family and their antics. I have adored the Bailey family from the very first time I opened book one of this series. Each book has been so engaging and it’s impossible not to fall in love with this family. And what a fantastic story to end this series…Piper Rayne nail it once again. The Bailey family will forever hold a special place in my heart.
Sedona and Jamisons have a beautiful second chance at love story. A relationship that has spanned years. An endless and forever kind of love. The connection between these two was always there, right from the very beginning as high school teenagers. Their hearts were always going to destined for one another, no matter the obstacles. This story had all the comedy elements, but it also brought the feels and emotions. I hurt for both Sedona and Jamison and wanted nothing more than for them to have that much deserved happy ending.
As much as I am sad to see this series come to an end, this book was the perfect conclusion. I loved everything about this story. It has all the elements of what is so quintessential about The Baileys. A delightful and quirky big family, an unconditional love, and wonderful stories that all weave together to create a cast of memorable characters that you cannot help but fall in love with. It’s definitely one of those series that I will reread time and time again.

Audio Rules for Dating Your Ex (The Baileys #9) narrated by Joel Froomkin Meg Sylvan
This story, seriously aaaaallllllllllll the feeeeeeeeelllllllsssss and yes those words had to be elongated like that to make my point.
Book 9 and the end of the Bailey clans books, which I have to say, breaks my heart. I have lived and loved every happily ever after in this series, though Holly and Austins story seems so long ago, it has actually only been 2 years since the beginning, and it has been extra special to see their family grow as the series went on.
Talking of Holly and Austin, in their story Sedona and Jamison were in high school and had just started dating. Years later Jamison has had a failed professional football career, and an addiction problem after his dream was ripped away. Sedona, heavily pregnant with his daughter, returns to her family alone. 18 months later, Jamison has gotten clean and has returned to claim his family, the true loves of his life.
I adored and appreciated the jumps back to the past to get insight into Jamison and Sedonas relationship, how it all began, and where it all went wrong, all the parts we had missed throughout the series.
I completely fell head over heels for Jamison from the very first page, he was struggling, anyone could see, but he was facing his demons and admitting his mistakes whilst trying to do all he could to prove he has changed.
Sedona is one of the strongest Baileys, though she is one of the quietest and most reserved, she left when it would have been so easy to stay, she is determined to do the best she can for her daughter, whether as a single mother or letting her daughters father back into their lives to have a relationship with her, and isnt afraid to admit she couldnt cope and needed her familys support when her daughter was first born.
Sedona still loves Jamison, but she doesnt trust him, she wants to be his number one priority, but doesnt believe she can be. Jamison made a mistake letting them go once, he knows how it feels to lose them, and its much more painful than losing his career. His battle with alcohol addiction is something he will have to live with for the rest of his life, but he is doing everything he can to prove to his family that it wont beat him again.
With the revelation of who has been running the infamous Buzz Wheel, as well as the happily ever after for the whole Bailey clan, this story is the perfect ending to the series. As always, there is the ever present meddling from Grandma Dori, which is hilarious, especially when the whole family ambushes Sedona at the beauty salon. With laughs a plenty, along with a bucket load of heart and soul, this is undoubtedly my favourite book of the series, and I cannot wait to see whats next.

I can’t believe this is basically the end of the Baileys… well apart from the birthday novella (and if they pop up in any of the Greene books, one can hope).
This is the story of Sedona and Jamison which we’ve had bits and pieces of throughout the other books. I’ve gone back and forth on Jamison as it’s been a long journey for these two with quite a few ups and downs. As ever, the story is engaging and the characters are so well written you can’t help but fall in love with them. I love the Baileys so much, leaving them will be a wrench.
If you haven’t read about this family yet, you really should start at the beginning to get the most out of the series. Once you do, you’ll want to devour the rest of the series and can finish up here. Another wonderful read from the very talented writing duo.
