I’m writing this one day before Election Day 2020. I don’t know what tomorrow will bring, but Barbara Res’s book validated everything I felt about Donald Trump back in 2015 when he sought the nomination. He was a nobody to me before that and his demeanor and behavior displayed the worst of my therapy clients.
He pulled off the greatest hoax ever inflicted on our naive country and we’ve paid a hefty price for it.
Thank you for your well written book Barbara and I hope for the best tomorrow.

This political season, Ive begun rating Donald Trump books by how dirty I feel after finishing them. The more personal the book is, the more awful it makes me feel. High falutin books concerned with policy are okay – if not a little boring – but those books that are down and dirty with all sorts of personal revaluations about Trump and his crew are depressing. However, I enjoy the depressing books far more than the boring ones.
The newest of the lot – sure to be supplanted by the books coming out next Tuesday and every week, ad infintum – is Tower of Lies, by Barbara Res. She was the Trumps manager of construction for many of his most famous building, like The Plaza Hotel and Trump Tower. Beginning working with Trump in the late 1970s to mid-1990s, Ress job included sparring with Trump about problem building details, particularly those which were exacerbated by Trumps ingrained cheapness and inattention to details. Res writes about Trump and his family in matters of business, which is where she knew him and is best versed in the real Donald Trump. What she writes about a man who has been disgusting to others for his total business life only seems to echo what weve known for years about Donald Trump.
Barbara Ress book is a good look at the Trump we know. No surprises; the Trump nastiness to most women is explored in the context of his businesses. Dirty…

Not simply a rehash of current events. She knew Trump decades ago and she has a lot of anecdotes showing that he started out bad and has become much worse over time.

I have seen this writer on a number of tv shows discussing Trump and she seems very knowledgeable . Her book is very interesting. Since she actually worked with him I knew she would be more honest about Trump the person. In addition to confirming what the public can see are his personality traits , she shares what she went through
working in construction management as an electrical engineer for Trump. Impressive to read about someone that was the only woman managing a construction site. Interesting and well written.
This book is more revealing about Trump’s personality than his niece, Mary Trump’s book.
