This book is a fantasy story told on the darker side, the reason I mainly gave this a four star review is that there are litrpg elements that are brought into the story.. except they don\’t matter. The MC is extremely low level and yet can use basically whatever magic he wants, the MC basically had infinite Mana and 1 shots everything, monster and character levels have no basis on how powerful anything is, if the author had said this work was a litrpg I would have to give it a 3 star review just due to it not mattering at all. The trap a lot of authors are falling into is making a book litrpg just because it\’s growing atm. Probably 90% of litrpg books would be more enjoyable and better if there were no litrpg elements and instead had focused on story and world building, this book included. Overall it\’s worth a listen if you are looking for a story that doesn\’t have a lot of depth and the characters have no challenges, just OP protagonists. Ok, just a pet peeve of mine, but the use of the metric system in a pre-industrial society that does not seem to be based on earth is really, really, *really*, stupid. I mean, drill a hole in my head without anasthetic, at home, by myself, levels of stupid. And there\’s a really easy fix. Just to a search and replace as follows: centimeters => inches; meters => yards; kilometers => miles. The actual numbers aren\’t that important. But if you think they are, just do the actual conversion. Not hard. At least you\’ll be using an pre-industrial system of measurement that could be plausibly developed in the world. I swear. People think they\’re smart using the metric system. But if you go to another world and start spouting metric units, what ever sentient you\’re talking to is gonna think you dumb as a bag of rocks that have been beaten all day with a dead cat. I can understand people being ignorant of the origins of the imperial measurement system. I mean, we are approaching 150 to 200 years post industrial revolution depending on where you want to plant the \”started here\” flag. But common, seriously, do you not know how and why the metric system was developed? Why not just have electricity a functional part of the world, but everyone ignore it. Like folks will go in a building and turn on the lights, but still be using horse and carriage. That\’s how using metric in a fantasy setting sounds. It sounds stupid. It\’s almost as bad as going full [email protected] If you really have a mindless hatred of the imperial system, then at least fabricate a measurement system based on agrarian principles. Or if you want to be douchy about it, have one of the pretentious races (like elves) come up with a base ten system that is codified in the context of the world. Just don\’t use a system that is literally derived from physical dimensions of the globe of the planet Earth in the Sol solar system. It is really hard to invest in a fantasy story when something so jarring, so fundamentally of this world, is put into the story. At the very least, go look up the origins of the imperial measurement system. Mr. Peed, you\’re a better writer than this. 8 people found this helpful

Audiobook Resurrection by Matthew Peed
decently polished, and the characters arnt annoying (although the revenge and blood thirsty path made me roll my eyes more then a few times) but I finished the book still hungry. Not I want more hungry but I ate all that cotton candy and am still unsatisfied hungry. none of the characters changed, there was no stakes or challenge, I gained no insights. I need more than cotton candy, and if the Arthur has enough skill and dedication to make this much cotton candy I can only hope someone buys him a cookbook eventually. 3 people found this helpful

It was a good start. the Twists maintained the story. the story however did not set a time limit or threaten the p lan. But I get that the bad guy came from good stock but stabbed in the back. good job but r mix it up. Krop Circle LLC 2 people found this helpful
