Issac started his own security company but they no longer take individuals on, now they are security for ClubX. Madam Lynn doesn\’t allow employees to participate in the club but has turned her head when it comes to Issac as long as he remains desecrate. He hasn\’t had a Slave in a long time but that is what he needs and wants. It is rare to see a Slave come through the club. Katia is just getting back on her feet. She was kidnapped off the street and sold to a drug lord. She was used and abused by him and all he saw fit. Now she is back and runs her doggy daycare and boarding business. However, she feels the need for a Master. One of the people in her online support group invites her to ClubX. She finally goes at first everyone is passing her up, not wanting to take on a Slave, but then two men are arguing over her. She finally speaks up and chooses Issac, she knew he was her Master the minute she laid eyes on him. Issac and Katia battle back and forth. He wants her collared and in his home. She has issues with both because of her past. Finally after winning her at auction, Issac gets to bring her home. He learns more about her past and wants to help her heal. It is a slow process but they both make it. There are definitely some filler pages in this book which is why I feel I must only give it a two star rating. Issac gives Katia a list of 20 rules and they are listed out in detail when he writes them and again when she receives them. Also, the same memories for each of them are laid out in detail multiple times throughout the book

Parts of this story were hard for me to read. The degradation that takes place at Club X is described a little too detailed for my taste, which really surprised me because I love erotica. But this was darker than what I\’m used to I think. That being said, this author has such a fabulous way with words, telling her story and conveying it with such perfect precision. And I love the alpha men in her books…I love their obsession and intensity and strength and power. I adored Isaac Rocci. I loved how he would work so hard to bring Katia happiness and he\’d do anything to please her and bring her pleasure. And in return, it brought him untold satisfaction and quenched his desire for complete control. Caring for all her desires and making her happy in every way sates his appetite for complete control and makes him feel whole. But Katia Herrington is a very damaged soul trying to heal from being kidnapped, sold as a sex slave, imprisoned and brutally abused. She strives to find someone to understand with patience, what she needs in order for her to feel whole and to trust again. And in order to achieve this healing, she wants a Master to submit herself to; she wants to be cherished as a slave. She wants to feel the power exchange between a Master and slave. The training that Katia submits herself to and endures as a sex slave was hard to read. I enjoy reading the occasional erotic story, but this one left a bad aftertaste. Even though the acts were consensual and mutually agreed upon for the sake of healing and moving on etc., the degrading and humiliating aspects I couldn\’t get past. The story is told very well, but I don\’t think it\’s a subject matter for me. I seem to be able to deal fine with the D/s scenario, but the M/s dynamic, not so much. The whole story is about liberating one\’s self from the nightmarish memories and shame stemming from abuse and guilt. Learning that one\’s complete submission is the ticket to the freedom from the nightmare that is their past. Both Katia and Isaac eventually go through this process of healing and enlightenment. Brilliantly conveyed.

Audiobook Sold: Highest Bidder (Highest Bidder #2) by Lauren Landish Willow Winters
Dynamic Duo, Lauren Landish & Willow Winters, the authors of this dark tale, took me on a very dark, intense, heartbreaking and emotional ride. This story is not the sweet kind of romance with hearts and flowers. Its so much more and I thank them for that. The best books written are the ones that burrow inside of you and stay there even long after youve read the book. When I finished this book, I felt like my emotions were all over the place. This story is jam packed with emotion (ugly cries included), so you better prepare yourself. I loved the characters, Isaac and Katia, who are both so broken because of their pasts. This story is about surviving the horrors, the evil, the damned But most importantly, this book is about healing from the worst of the worst unimaginable evil. Katias trying to get her life back after escaping a terror filled four-year nightmare as a sex slave. She is struggling with severe PTSD and she craves the Master/Slave relationship. She is invited to attend an evening at Club X, a BDSM club. She feels like she needs this and is extremely interested in attending. Isaac has his own security company and also works security for Club X. He also struggles with his past and doesnt think he deserves Katia but after finding out that Katia will be a part of the auction, he digs up information about her. Its because of her past that Isaac believes Katia would be perfect for him as a slave and is determined to heal/fix her. Hes also hoping that she can fill a void in his life by having what he always craved but never had, a successful Master/Slave relationship. After winning her at the auction, they begin their 30 days together. He has so much compassion for her but her extreme fear is keeping her from submitting to him in a 24/7 power exchange. She doesnt understand that the relationship she had with her captors is not what a real M/s relationship is about. Shes so scared but at the same time, she loves pain, craves that kind of intimacy. He loves the idea of showing her and pushing her limits. But can Isaac get through to Katia? What happens when the 30-day contract is up? Can Isaac accept that he is deserving of love, regardless of his past? Will they both succumb to their pasts and live a life of loneliness, a life without love or will they find a way to trust each other, throw caution to the wind and take a chance on love? That is the premise of the story but its really so much more than that. Its filled with turmoil, angst, heartbreak, compassion and hope. Hope for peace, healing, survival, love and finding it in the place you would least expect it-Club X Id like to think trust, love, healing and hope can be attained in any kind of relationship. Even in an extreme BDSM M/S relationship. Maybe Im just a romantic or maybe Im a sucker for punishment (pun intended)! So stop what you are doing and buy this book! Its a journey you dont want to miss!!!!! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book but I also purchased my own copy.

Audio Sold: Highest Bidder (Highest Bidder #2) narrated by Hayden Bishop
I loved this book,it has every thing you want in this story and so so much passion,love but a very sad history on both sides.A lovely young woman who really wants a master who will help her through the evil and cruel life she was forced into.If you enjoy books that are about Master and slave then you will love this.I am now on the next book by Lauren and Willow.

The characters became real people there Essenes was tangible. I could imagine them being real people. The emotions really came through in the writing. Good read
