As much as I would love for you to read my review, like it, share it, and all that good stuff, what you need to do–what you absolutely must do right now–is get a copy of Heart Bones and read Colleen Hoover’s poignant, stirring, affirming book.
I’m not going to tell you about the plot or characters; this novel is best read not knowing any of those things. Go in as cold as you can so each paragraph, each line, can surprise you and move you. If you are new to Colleen’s books, I urge you to have a stack of tissues handy before you turn to page one. (If you know her books, then you know. YOU KNOW.)
What will strike you is how real these characters are. How Colleen Hoover defies stereotypes. How each character feels like someone you are connected with or know. How one line from Colleen Hoover will make you weep harder than the entirety of other books.
Heart Bones battered and bruised my heart, slicing it to shreds. And then, because this is Colleen Hoover we’re talking about, she healed me. She gave me hope, and she made me believe in the power of hope.
Read this book. Then hit up the comments and let me know your thoughts.

Love CH, she is a fantastic author but did not care for this novel. I felt it was geared toward a teenage audience. I found myself skimming through paragraphs because nothing was really happening, slow read, and not my favorite of CH. I look forward to her next release!

Audiobook Heart Bones by Colleen Hoover
Every time Colleen writes something I immediately buy it. I kept getting anxious as the book went on because I was scared I wouldnt like the ending and that it was going to break my heart, and mostly it did
but in a good way, I promise.
I loved Beyah and Samson so so much. Both together and apart. I can only hope to have that kind of love someday, where someone just gets you. Like theyre your person and like they want the best for you even if thats not them.
Im not as good with words as she is but this book was beautifully tragic and healing at the same time. Im never disappointed after reading a CoHo book but by now I expect my heart to be broken and healed again after. Now go read it!

Audio Heart Bones narrated by Angela Goethals
People sometimes still drown in the shallow end…
–
What a beautiful ride! Typical with Colleen Hoover, this one was filled with heart, sadness, quirkiness, and hope.

Beyahs life has been nothing short of a fight in her nineteen years. When she moves in with her dad she finds it hard to trust anyone, let alone Samson. Theyve got their share of secrets, thats for sure. It all comes to fruition and leaves you with a smile on your face and hope in your gut.
Short and sweet version, I loved this book HARD!

This may be my new favourite CoHo book. By the end of this book, I was just so done. CoHo got me good, real good. I was a snotty, sniveling mess, hiccuping sobs, totally out of control while my husband slept soundly beside me, totally oblivious to how my heart bones shattered for our heroine, Beyah. I had to take a breather, make a cup of tea before I could even read through the tears, and this was at 2 am. Then, as CoHo expertly does, she put me back together again.
Beyah goes through so much during this book, her upbringing, everything. She had absolutely nothing, but she made the best of a bad hand. She worked hard to better herself, and she did it. When she goes to her dad’s for the summer it is like living with a stranger. Even this relationship broke my heart. I knew there was something not being said.
Beyah and Samson were like magnets, they were drawn together and once close, could never separate. This was so much more than the shallow end of a summer fling, they both knew it. It scared them, but the heart wants who the heart wants, even if it takes a journey to get there.
I absolutely LOVED this one. CoHo outdid herself. I don’t think my heart bones will recover from this one for a while.
