This one had us guessing until the very end! The author and narrator have these characters down. The \”bit\” characters all get their moments to shine and bring a distinctive flavor to the story. And Edna….what would we do without you.

Irish Eyes (Callahan Garrity Mystery #8) audiobook in series Callahan Garrity Mystery
Although the narrator did a credible job of imitating a Southern drawl, including her nasal voice, it was too much to take for an entire book.
Review #3
Audiobook Irish Eyes (Callahan Garrity Mystery #8) by Mary Kay Andrews
Narrator was great at doing everyone elses voice but the protagonist. Then she seems to forget how to read and enunciated e v e r y single letter sometimes making odd mini pauses in the middle of words. The story was boring. I did not care about the characters or what would happens next. Just a bunch of bad cops. Obvious from the beginning. Whoever is living this book has not been exposed to good writings and good narrators.

Audio Irish Eyes (Callahan Garrity Mystery #8) narrated by Hillary Huber
Irish Eyes was my least favorite of any of Mary Kay Andrews books and this narration did not help matters. The syrupy fake southern accent was annoying, but not nearly as annoying as the mispronounced words. Seriously, were there no southern narrators around to carry this off. Im sure they could have found someone who could correctly pronounce Hapeville and Luzianne. As far as the story, I much prefer Andrews southern romances to her attempt at mystery and intrigue. Its kind of like biting into a chocolate you hope is filled with caramel, only to find out it is some kind of fruity gel instead.
