Ok so let me first start off by saying, I literally finished this book in about 5 hours because it was such a seamlessly flowing read. This may be the best of the series. It was fantastic and now we know more of the other side of things that are not Gardnerian.
I felt the emotion pour off the pages from the characters, kudos to the author.
Dare I say but I like Sage better than Elloren, not that Elloren is bad but Sage is way more interesting and her powers are awesome. I hope we see more of her and the gang in the next installment.

This was a very good suspense and romantic book. If you’ve read the Black witch by Laurie Forest then this book just adds to the world. However you don’t need to read the Black Witch to follow.
First off I really liked that the author warns the reader at the beginning that there will be a type of sexual assault in one of the chapters and she tells us where it is so that we can skip that portion. ( I skipped it)
I loved the magic and the characters in this book. I really liked Sage. What I loved about her was her love for her sisters and the fact that she had the courage to leave a bad relationship despite pressure to please her parents and culture. That was real strenght.
This book really opens another important storyline in the world of Erthia and I am excited to see where it is going to lead and how Sage’s powers will affect her life and those around her.

Holy Ancient One!! I thoroughly enjoyed Sagellyns story filled with terrifying moments, plot twists, romance, and that wonderful thing that happens when an oppressed female character finds her strength and worth! I anxiously wait to see how Sagellyns story interweaves with Ellorens in the coming books in this riveting series!!

Audio Light Mage (The Black Witch Chronicles #1.5) narrated by Amy McFadden
I enjoyed Sage’s story. I’ve already read all the Black Witch books, it was nice reading about how Sage got in her current situation. I want more though, I’ve read bits and pieces about Sage throughout the other books, but not enough. The way the new Black Witch book ended, I’m guessing there might be another book coming out sometime in the future. I hope we get to find out what happens to Sage, Ra’Ven and their baby.

I LOVE novellas. They’re the perfect things to tide you over until the next book comes out. This is no exception. We got a look into Sage’s life in the time period where we forgot about her in the first book–when she was out of sight, out of mind until we were reminded of her horrible “crimes”. With the deeper look in this and what we know about her from the first book, it only makes you more excited to get into The Iron Flower!
