Wicked Highlander (Dark Sword #3) audiobook free
First off, let me say that I recommend you read this series in order as the stories flow from one to the other. If you start with this book you would likely feel like you were starting off in the middle of a larger storyline. While you might not be lost, the emotional investment in the characters would be missing and the story would likely be lacking.
I really enjoyed the first two books in this series, but I have to say that this one is my favorite. In this book we spend most of our time inside Deirdre’s mountain with Quinn, Deirdre, Marcail and a host of other warriors (some with and some against Deirdre). Unfortunately we don’t see much of the other MacLeod brothers and their gang of warriors, but the book is still excellent despite that lack.
Quinn has recently been captured by Deirdre and imprisoned in her mountain fortress, where she also keeps countless other warriors and druids. Fallon and Lucan MacLeod and their “brotherhood” of warriors are out to rescue Quinn. However, before any of that excitement happens, we get an insiders view of life inside Deirdre’s fortress and boy is it intense and horrifying. Once again we see Broc, the warrior who works for Deirdre (or does he?), William, the evil blue warrior who would do anything for Deirdre, and Isla the mysterious druid under Deirdre’s command. We are also introduced to various other warriors who are imprisoned just like Quinn. But at the heart of the story is Quinn and the beautiful druid Marcail, also held prisoner by Deirdre. The attraction between Quinn and Marcail is immediate and intense, just as it was for both of his brothers and their wives.
This book is much more intense than the other two, mostly due, I think, to the cruelty inflicted by Deirdre and her warrior minions. There also seems to be a lot being set up for future books, as we meet many new characters and get background information on others. I, for one, am very much looking forward to where she goes with this series in the future.

Wicked Highlander was wickedly fun to read. Another great one. So much went into this one.
In this one we got to see what Quinn and any other Warrior and Druid went through in Deidre’s mountain. It was heartbreaking at times but it was captivating and very moving. The emotions going through all of the prisoners were so strong and different between each of them.
Quinn’s story was the most emotional from the other two. He’s already had trouble controlling his god so when he was captured Quinn really had to struggle to stay in control.
Marcail was his equal in this book. Even though physically she wasn’t strong, for what she went through after being captured by Deidre, she didn’t cower and fall apart. She stood by Quinn to try and help even though she was powerless.
This was a powerful story filled with loads of sizzling romance, lots of action, heartfelt bonding, magic, and horror-filled torture. Very intense!
One of my favorites in this series. Very hard to put down.

Audiobook Wicked Highlander (Dark Sword #3) by Donna Grant
I found Donna Grant books by accident acually. I love J.R.Ward and Lorissa Ion but i was waiting for their new books and needed something to pass the time. I’ve always loved supernatural and the Highlands of Scotland so that’s what i put in the search bar. Up popped Donna Grant and she had so many series i didn’t know where to start! lol I began with the Shields series and continued on from there. So far i’ve made it thru all of the Sheilds, Druids Glen, The Royal Chronicles and i’m on book 4 of the Dark Sword series getting ready to purchase book 5. Love them all!! The Royal Chronicles kinda surprised me beccause they were novellla’s i think. I bought the set together at around 9am and was finished with all 4 by 7pm!! I love getting to know the characters so the longer the series the more happy i am. (Which is why i’m so in LOVE with The Black Dagger Brotherhood by Ward! I think were waiting for book 15 now..lol) The Dark Sword series are actually about 300 or so pages each and so far i’m really loving the whole premise. Wicked Highlander is the 3rd in the series. The first 3 books are about the MacLoed brothers and gets everyone on board with what the whole series will be about. Wicked was probably my favorite beccause it’s about Quinn. The youngest of the brothers and the hottest in my opinon.. Do yourself a favor and read Donna Grant’s books!! You wont be disapointed..
