I’m Dreaming of an Undead Christmas (Half-Moon Hollow #2.7) audiobook free
1st, the book ends before the story is even told. 2nd, if you haven’t read her other books recently, you are going to be SO lost. There is no character development, the author just basically keeps saying, “Hey! You know how much fun these people were from the other books? Well, they’re still fun! Don’t you just love them?” Well, no, because I really don’t remember them and some of them are new and really, truth be told, once she put all her characters in the same room, there’s no telling them apart. It really jumps out that she keeps writing the same person over and over and just changes the names and plot every book. And really, they’re all vampires so the plots aren’t so very different. It’s the classic, “fish out of water,” plot, combined with a love story. The end. Except not this book. Main character doesn’t feel that she fits in (fish out of water) a love story begins and the book ends.

This is a nice filler book where there are seeds planted for the next book, but mostly it’s just a catch up with everyone at Christmas time. It’s short, fun, and unfortunately pointless. Not exactly one I’d recommend, but the narration is excellent as always.

Audiobook I’m Dreaming of an Undead Christmas (Half-Moon Hollow #2.7) by Molly Harper
Molly Harper is one of the very few authors that I ALWAYS one click to get her books, and I’m never disappointed! This book was no exception to that. I laughed out loud several times while reading this one. I get so tickled with the whole ‘Half Moon Hollow’ gang of characters, especially the snarky one liners that flow so freely from this bunch. This quick read set up a new story that I am very excited to see continued. There were many great ‘family holiday’ antics that made me really want to join this family. There are also a few recipes included at the end of this book. I tried two of them for our family’s Thanksgiving, both were big hits! Turkey with a bacon sweater will be a family tradition in years to come. The UN-vegetable green beans were a big hit as well.

I have all the books to Molly Harper’s Vampire and Werewolf books and love them but was a little disappointed in this one. There were some funny things because Ms Harper can’t help but be funny but it was way to short to bother with and left me wanting. I wish it had given a little more on the new romance coming in the next book. I think the biggest thing that irritated me was the book was short enough but to add pages of receipts at the end was not what I was expecting and was not happy about. I turned the page and felt like the author all of a sudden ran out of things to say and opened her cook book. I gave it a 3 but a 2.5 would be my real #

I listened to the story last year, but the written word is even funnier. The vamps and friends are celebrating Christmas. Of course Iris goes all out for her sister, Gigi, even if she doesn’t want it. The problem is that Iris and most of her friends are vamps. They don’t eat. They don’t like the smell of food. Even getting a tree had to be done by flashlight. My only problem with the book (which was worse with audio version because it was a year ago) is that I have to wait until March to find out about the mysterious vamp stalking Gigi. He pops in and out of the story and now he has jumped all the way to March 2015.
