Immortal Ninja Academy: Demon Hunting 101 audiobook free
I’ve read Frazetta’s other books, but I think this one might be my favorite. I watch a lot of anime, so this story worked for me on many different levels. It’s a lot of fun and I’m really looking forward to the next one!
The pros:
Great setting: Loved the ninja college setting in the woods. The scenes where the ninjas were running through the trees put a smile on my face and reminded me of Ninja Scroll.
Magic system: The magic system was really cool as well, reminiscent of a lot of wuxia novels which I am also a fan of.
Characters: The author did a great job of pulling character archetypes out of anime yet making them feel fresh. For example, the character style that Warren fits into is a popular one in anime, let’s call it the “bookish badass” and normally these types are extremely stoic with little personality. Frazetta sets it up so you know that character is supposed to embody that trope, but Warren doesn’t feel as stale are those archetypes usually are. A small touch, but as an anime fan I really enjoyed the small touches like that.
Action scenes: Both the combat and sex scenes were well written and fit the story. The action scenes were fierce and vibrant, and the love scenes were sexy and not really over the top; They fit the story as well.
Future books: Can’t wait to see Kai go to the “real” ninja world!
The cons: Contains SPOILERS read at your risk
Well, my two real cons are more personal opinion rather than writing/grammar issues, but they kind of annoyed me so I’ll put them down as well. The first was that I felt the MC was too quickly forgiving of the two characters he was closest too. Now, we don’t know how he will react when he sees his mother again, but personally I couldn’t wrap my head around how quickly the main character forgave his best friend for lying to him his entire life. Now, it’s not like I wanted the MC to be mopey and wallow in this the whole time, but the near instant forgiveness for an enormous lie struck me as very unrealistic, especially given the characters mental state at the time. The second is the character of Prince Shonen. He has some great fight/sex scenes in the book, but his slavish devotion to his revenge is so intense that it grates on my nerves when his scenes come up. The person he is working with is obviously more powerful than he is and is going to betray him but Shonen still thinks he can get the upper hand. Honestly though, I just prefer the Kai chapters to the Shonen ones because I like Kai’s character a lot better.

this is a nice semi anime like book with very over the top “ninja” skills. MC is not too bad and quickly becomes more of the hero type this kinda book needs. I am very interested in seeing how the author will draw out the series as only the good guys are in the dark but should be interesting

Audiobook Immortal Ninja Academy: Demon Hunting 101 by Marco Frazetta
I think the introduction sums it up very nicely. I gave 5 stars for having everything I wanted. It has adventure, new twists to some of the classic themes. It is a great fit for anyone who wants a zero to hero, or just give you a new world to explore and experience.

But really detracted by bad editing. Misspelled words. Misused words. The writer needs a better editor or an editor, period. The pacing was a little off and it just kind of….ends.
