Okay enough of the cheesy golf jokes. This book isn’t your typical sports romance. So this won’t be a typical review…
This book is full of fun characters, smoking hot chemistry, and quick-witted humor.
Mrs. Sivec, as usual, packs the fun and quick-witted humor in this steamy story. The chemistry in this one is definitely off the charts with these characters.
I can’t forget about the side characters. They help make this book a huge hit. I’m pretty sure a couple will be getting their own stories. They provide so much extra fun to this book.
I don’t know what else to say. This book is freaking good. Just buy it and read it.

Absolutely loved this release from Tara Sivec. Kiss My Putt is a slow-burn second chance romance in the golf world, and it is really so much fun and so enjoyable. It is lighthearted, makes you smile and just ENTERTAINS!
Pal (Palmer) and Birdie were best friends when they were younger, spending their days on the golf course. But a misunderstanding separated them years ago, and Pal is in the middle of a very public breakdown, so he comes home to get his head on straight and find his game again. Pal and Birdie are explosive together! Their bickering banter is amazing, and really channels the underlying attraction. Pal needs to win back his friend, a friend that he has always been in love with, to try to rebuild his career and his life.
In true Tara Sivec form, we really get to know the characters thoughts and emotions, and their interactions are fun, outrageous and absolutely hysterical while being 100 percent authentic to the characters we get to know through her writing. The people that Tara Sivec has living in her mind are amazing, and I look forward to more from her in this series.

Audiobook Kiss My Putt (Summersweet Island #1) by Tara Sivec
THIS is why I read rom coms; for those books that are smile-inducing, lighthearted, and just so much fun. I laughed, I smiled, and that slow burn just about killed me (in the best way). Kiss My Putt is exactly what you’d want from a book of that title, featuring my favorite kind of enemies to lovers romance. You know that underneath all of that bickering and hurt is the kind of deep love that lasts a lifetime. These two have been a part of each other’s lives for fifteen years so one (pretty big) bump in the road isn’t going to end their relationship. Though there’s plenty of tension – mostly of the sexual variety – it’s a low angst read that will keep you turning the pages.
The story follows Palmer, a professional golfer who has always been known as a reserved and steady guy – until he has a meltdown on national television. Sidelined from the sport he’s devoted his life to, Palmer returns to the town and woman that’s always been his safe space. But that relationship fell to pieces after insecurities and misunderstandings got in the way. Now Palmer is ready to win back his best friend – any way that she will have him.
We’ve got to talk about this slow burn, because… WOW. Sivec does an incredible job building the tension until it crackles and reaches its breaking point. This is a slow burn to SCORCHING read, with the kind of payoff any reader would want after such a great emotional build. I loved that the focus is wholly on the emotional connection, and that even when these two feud, there’s so much love underneath it all. It’s just the kind of friends to lovers/enemies to lovers romance that I love to read, and I loved every minute of it. Sit back and enjoy this one – it’s guaranteed to brighten up your day. I was lucky enough to receive an ARC via the author (then purchased it for my collection) and am voluntarily leaving a review of this slow burn romance.

Im a huge fan of Ms. Sivecs writing and her ability to bring raucous laughter to my life. And this book is exactly what I needed right now. Ive never actually played golf, I tried, but yeah its not for meBUT I grew up with a Mom thats an AVID golfer. She played golf several days a week, talked about golf, watched golf live and then watched the matches she videotaped while she was golfing so needless to say, Im very familiar with the game in and of itself.
Ms. Sivec is SPOT ON with this game and how golfers think and seeing Pal return to small island town that brought him so much happiness along with the woman that used to be his bestie was a true delight. I loved everything about this game. The humor and double entendres had me rolling at times. Birdie is a girl after my own heart from her friendships with her sister and her bestie to her feelings about Pal and his return to Summersweet Island to say shes not thrilled about his return is putting it mildly.
This book kept a smile on my face from the very beginning to the very end and there isnt a moment that I didnt love in this book. Ms. Sivec is a master at writing books that are hilarious but filled with so many feelings that you cant help but love her, her characters and her books. I highly recommend this book to anyone that needs a break from reality right now youll definitely have a smile on your face when you turn that last page!

I truly wanted to love this book but it was just okay for me. There were times I forgot that Palmer and Birdie were around 30 years ago until it was mentioned because they both acted childish with each other. I ended up skimming the last 3rd of the book. I think my favorite part of the book was Bodhi.
