while this is a good story – it just ends. to get the entire story of the family/friends, you need to read all 9 books – and yeah, except for the first book, they aren\’t long; so theoretically the author could have combined books, but choose not to. to me, that\’s not fair to the reading/buying public – hence why the 1 war

And probably it must be a good series too. But I give it one star because it stops abruptly, obviously you have to buy all 9 books. 9 books????!!! Ok, I can accept (and afford) a few series. But 9 books???? I am so disappointed and mad because I really wanted to enjoy the whole story and now I can\’t. That\’s why the 1 star. Otherwise it would be among my ten-stars.

It would have been nice if I had known that it was a NINE book series…..two of which aren\’t even out yet. But it doesn\’t matter. I am done. I won\’t spend another penny on any of her books. A lie if omission is a lie nonetheless.

Good book with bad choices, at least for me. I would have happily bought all the other books in the series but will now buy no more of either author’s books ever because of a cliff hanger ending. With all the hundreds and I suspect thousands of authors now flooding the market I really think that it is so very short sighted to use this technique. There are too many that have good writing skills and that leaves me with many choices if I no longer choose to buy what is offered from one. As stated the story was enjoyable enough that I would have bought the rest of the series. Too bad.
