THIS BOOK. THIS BOOK. THIS. FREAKING BOOK. I can\’t stop swooning. I seriously can\’t stop. It\’s so refreshing. It\’s the kind of book that reminds you why you love reading. It\’s the kind of book that makes you feel like you\’re falling in love for the very first time. It reminds you of innocence. Of first crushes, first touches, first kisses, first loves, first everythings. It gives you butterflies, makes you tingle and swoon, but it also grabs you by the heart and squeeeeezes, making you ache and yearn and feel. And those feelings are so incredible, so BIG and BOLD and honestly, reinvigorating. Manhattan made me LOVE reading in a way I haven\’t in a long time. EVERY WORD of this romance was PERFECTION. It took my empty heart and filled it up up up. And as crazy as it sounds, this book was an actual escape from my life. After I finished it, I felt like I could breathe again. Like it reached inside me, and I CAN\’T EVEN TELL YOU, I just know I NEEDED a romance like this one. Michael and Kylie are THE ULTIMATE FRIENDS TO LOVERS . Their story is the ULTIMATE FRIENDS TO LOVERS. And goodness, the relatableness (<<— not a word, I know, lol) of these characters is simply next level. Kandi Steiner transports you back to being 18, to having the WHOLE WORLD at your finger tips. She plants you in Kylie and Michael\’s life in such a visceral, tangible way. Kylie and Michael have just graduated high school. They\’re best friends, have pretty much been inseparable their whole lives. Kylie has loved Mikey since she was 8. And all this time she has sat by silently, yearning for this boy. And trust me, it KILLS YOU!!!!! To see the way she loves him and to feel her need for him to love her back. MY. HEART. Michael has no idea. He\’s completely in the dark when it comes to Kylie\’s feelings. And not only that, Mikey has just experienced his first heartbreak and is completely consumed by the loss of that girl. And even though it breaks Kylie apart that Mikey had Bailey (the ex) in the first place, she\’s completely selfless. Instead of being angry and resentful, she\’s soft and compassionate. ALL she wants is to be there for her best friend, to mend his heart and make him smile. AND OMGGGGGG! YOU GUYS. THE. FEELS. There is just nothing I can say that will do it justice. I mean… this book exemplifies first love. It truly does. And the pain of loving someone and having that person love someone else…. It burns. It more than hurts! And OH BOY, does Kandi make those heartbreaking emotions REAL. You understand them. You\’re almost transported back to your own first heartbreak, and I think everyone knows how that feels. It\’s just so so so intense. As you continue to read, you fall in love with Kylie and Michael. The way Kylie is, the way she slowly works to bring Mikey back, is everything. I became intoxicated by their friendship, and I was slowly and deliciously wooed by the romance as they fell in love along the way. ITS BEAUTIFUL. Manhattan was so well done. There\’s just such BEAUTY in the story. And honestly, I\’m a CRAZY-MESS for this book. Michael and Kylie have wrecked me. Their love is so real that I just FELT it in my soul. Overall, this is HANDS DOWN MY FAVORITE BECKER BOOK. It\’s all the things I wanted. It\’s well-paced with realistic and authentic characters. It\’s brimming with emotion. The romance is an unrequited love, a friends-to-lovers that\’s downright dreamy. The writing is PERFECTION. It\’s a FIVE STAR winner. An absolute FAVORITE book of mine. And I just can\’t get over it. I LOVED IT. I just ADORED every word. Such a must read.

Manhattan audiobook in series Becker Brothers
I was absolutely counting the days for Mikey Becker’s story. I’m in love with them Becker boys and I couldn’t wait to read about our eighteen year old, sweet faced baby Becker boy who’s high school sweetheart, Bailey Baker, up and left to go to Nashville to become the next big country music sensation. Leaving our precious Michael behind and heartbroken. Mikey is sensitive and sweet. He’s plays the guitar, but if you’ve read Neat you know what happens with that a little. The whole breakup, It’s was too much and he needs to get out of this town of Stratford, so he announces he’s moving to New York at the end of the summer after his high school graduation. Leaving his family and best friend, Kylie with jaws dropped and tears in their eyes. Kylie Nelson has been best friends with Michael Becker since she was eight years old. Bonded by tragedy. They have been through everything together, all the awkward ups and downs of growing up. She has also been secretly longing for being more than friends for many of her teen years as well. She had to endure not only watching him meet and fall in love with Bailey Baker, but as his best friend her duty was to give advice and suggestions that required a “girls point of view.” So she sucked it up being the amazing friend she is, and helped Bailey get and then eventually hurt “her guy.” Kylie was beautiful, and funny and giving and loving. All these things she didn’t even realize, which made me love her character even more. She had suffered a great loss just like Mikey Becker and yet she spent her life doing things for other people. The way she cared for her dad was so sweet and even when Mikey was hard to handle and being a complete turd she was there for him and his family. Mikey’s announcement shook her as much as his family. So she decided then and there that this was her shot, that finally she would put herself out there and go after what she wanted. She was going to try to make Michael remember all the things he loved the most about home, then maybe he wouldn’t leave and she would finally have her chance to be with him. Would her plan work or will it backfire? Would Mikey ever see her for more than just a friend? I loved this slow burn, super sweet, friends to lovers romance. This story compared to the other Becker Boy’s books was more tame in the bedroom scenes and was more of a slow burn and the angst and tension between the main characters wasn’t so off the charts in your face as it was in On the Rocks and Neat. BUT, this was still just as much of a five star read for me. With Michael and Kylie’s age the slow burn and sweet bedroom scenes were perfect. Michael was so respectful and gentle with Kylie and it was written in a way that you could tell that he appreciated the gift he had been given and he would cherish it. GAH! It was the sweetest. Yes, they were young but they had built such a solid foundation with their friendship, it was inevitable they would end up together. READ THIS BOOK Y’ALL! *I voluntarily reviewed an advanced complimentary copy of this book! My cr8zysockbookblock blog wrap up for this book! ⭐️⭐️⭐⭐⭐️- The Becker Boys and the girls that have captured their hearts have become an obsession for me. I one-click these books so fast. I live for the family meals around Mama Becker’s table and the banter between this rowdy bunch of country boys. They’re as down home and delicious as their Mama’s cooking, and true southern gentlemen. If you haven’t met them yet you’re missing out. ????- Sweetness overload! Mikey and Kylie were Sweet Love-Makin’ Perfection! ♥️?♥️ ?Cliffhanger Warning-No cliffhanger! This ending was EVERYTHING!

Audiobook Manhattan by Kandi Steiner
I can’t get over the Becker Brother’s but there is just something about Michael Becker that completely stole my heart. This is hands down my favorite book of the series. Mikey and Kylie are best friends, they have been since they were eight years old. Michael announces he is moving to New York and Kylie makes it her mission to show him everything he loves about their small town and maybe convince the boy she has loved her entire life that maybe they could be something more. I LOVED Michael and Kylie’s friendship so much. There is such a deep bond and connection between these two. They know everything about each other, they don’t hide anything from each other. They share a bond that many others don’t. There is so much chemistry between them. When things shift and their relationship starts you can’t help but just fall in love with them even more. Kandi wrote an amazing slow burn, angst filled, friends to lovers romance that I never wanted to end. This story was making me swoon left and right, slightly broke my heart, but quickly mended those broken pieces. This book is a MUST READ and easily one of my TOP BOOKS of 2019.

Audio Manhattan narrated by Chelsea Hatfield Edward Thomas
After reading the ending of ‘Neat’ I was so ridiculously excited to read Michael ‘Mikey’ Becker’s story. I was incredibly lucky to be able to read this title early, and can honestly say that Kandi Steiner is one of my fave writers of all time. She has the ability to create magic with her words, and this story took me on such an incredible emotional rollercoaster. Mikey is struggling to deal with the heartbreak of his first love. Learning the harsh way in life that people grow together or grow apart. So he drops a bombshell on his family that he wants to escape their hometown and head for the big apple. His news devastates not only his family, but his longest and closest friend Kylie, who has always had a soft spot for Mikey Becker. She takes it upon herself to try and make him fall in love all over again with their hometown, in the hopes of it all that he will end up loving her. Kylie is thoughtful, conscientious, and I loved her as a character. She adds that little sparkle of magic to an already beautiful story. Mikey is a real sweetheart and you just want to spend the first part of the book hugging him! This story is sweet, full of cute moments that really get you hooked and immersed in the chemistry of these characters. Mikey is relatable in terms of his heartache, and feeling lost, but Kylie is also relatable in being scared to admit her feelings and wanting to be loved. They bonded over heartache, but can it also heal them? The drama of the mystery over Mr Becker continues, and it only gets better! I can’t wait to see where Jordan’s story takes me. This is another incredible addition to the Becker Brother’s series, and anyone who is looking for that uniquely original series that will have them hooked, lined and sunk, this is your bag!

Really enjoyed reading Michael and Kylie’s story. Michael is the youngest of the Becker brothers. Loved all their stories, and how they all are in each other’s books so we get to still find out what’s happening in their lives. Michael and Kylie have been best friends since they were 8 years old. They understand each other better than anybody else. So when Michael stops hanging out with her because his girlfriend doesn’t like it, she understands and steps back. Forward 2 years, he’s been dumped and is heartbroken so Kylie comes to his rescue. Only problem is Kylie has been in love with him forever and he’s never noticed she’s a girl! Michael has decided he’s leaving town and moving to Manhattan and Kylie is determined to make him stay. This book is funny, happy and sad, there’s so many emotions. I cried reading it, which is always a good sign! I can’t wait for the mystery of their Dad to be solved! Looking forward to the last Becker brother book and an ending to the mystery.
