At this point in my Lauren Blakely fandom, I don’t even have to read the blurb to know that I’m going to buy and read (and love) the book. A full-length novel or sexy little novella, a new story from her is an event for me, one that I not only look forward to but I also plan the day around. It doesn’t even matter what trope it is – friends to lovers, second chances, best friend’s little sister – I know that I’m going to get wrapped up in whatever world she’s created and enjoy the heck out of the trip. Her writing never fails to entertain me, to make my heart race and to bring a smile to my face. This kind of consistency, both in terms of quality storytelling and reader reaction, is rare and special, and it’s one of the many reasons why Lauren Blakely is such a standout author for me. In Stud Finder, a standalone novella in the 1001 Dark Nights series, Ms. Blakely takes on the hot nerd trope, and she did it with spectacular results. Her spin on it, with a professional matchmaker heroine who is also a friend of the hero’s sister, was fresh, fun and heart-flutteringly flirty. Don’t let the length of the story deter you, either, because she packed a heck of a lot of story into this perfectly paced, richly developed novella. “…this woman… She’s the one I want.” Dylan is the whole package—handsome, smart, rich and an absolute sweetheart—and I found his dating naïveté very endearing. An internet entrepreneur who sold his business for millions at a very young age, he’s a firm believer in the world wide web as the way to find, well, just about anything, so it seems logical to him to use it to find the woman of his dreams. Quickly overwhelmed and a bit disillusioned by the responses to his ad on a dating site, he realizes that he’s going to need some help finding this woman. So, it’s a good thing that his sister is friends with the just person to help Dylan out. What he wasn’t expecting, though, was being so attracted to the matchmaker herself. “I want this man. I want him so much.” Evie’s so focused on building her business and other peoples’ relationships, she doesn’t have time for one herself. Even if she did, though, it seems her time is mostly spent with clients, and that is an ethical line she just won’t allow herself cross. She goes all-in to help Dylan, including some one-on-one dating instruction to prepare him for his dates. When their effortlessly witty banter and flirty, fun “practice” dates start to breach the boundary Evie has set for herself, she’s got a tough decision to make—go against the matchmaker’s cardinal rule or give into the attraction simmering between them. “…there’s nothing more to say. There’s only the sheer honesty of this moment. When you finally give in. When you finally admit. When you finally know.” Right from the start, I couldn’t help but root for this couple. Stud Finder was an addictively slow burning story, but my Kindle was positively smoking when Evie and dirty-talking Dylan finally gave in to the chemistry sizzling between them. I devoured this sexy, sweet, quick-reading romance in a single sitting, smiling wide and fanning myself the whole way through. And when these two get together sparks fly, but Evie is there to do set Dylan up with another woman. Can she find another woman that is perfect for him that isn’t her? Or will they finally be able to confess that they belong together? Stud Finder is a quick, fun, sassy, sexy read that will captivate you from cover to cover. Dylan is a geek you can’t help but swoon over because of his charm, smarts, humor, and sexy glasses. Evie is everything you would want in a best friend with her good heart, unwavering loyalty, and honesty. I loved watching Dylan and Evie get to know each other better and their “dates”. And when they finally do stop fighting their attraction… hot damn! I positively enjoyed Stud Finder. I loved the story line, the hero, the heroine, the sneak peak at other characters from previous books, and most of all the romance. So if you are looking for a quick escape with a saucy read, then I recommend you pick up Stud Finder and find your perfect match today.

Audiobook Stud Finder (Big Rock #6.5) by Lauren Blakely
**Advanced copy provided by the author in exchange for an honest review** In my opinion, you can never go wrong picking up a Lauren Blakely book, and while Stud Finder is a novella, my feelings still apply. This book was a delightful, quick read that had plenty of angst and heart and the humor that you know you will always get with a Lauren Blakely book! Dylan Parker wants to find his “Mrs. Right”, but the fact that he is a bit socially clueless even while being a hot, multimillionaire genius, has made that a very difficult task. Deciding to put an ad on a dating site, he quickly learns that people aren’t necessarily out to find a relationship, they may be more interested in money or status. Evie and Dylan begin spending time together and getting to know one another. Is the perfect match even closer than either one of them could have imagined? I adored the relationship between Evie and Dylan. I liked that it was a slow burn, but even though this was a novella I felt like we got to know the characters. They were witty, they made me smile and the chemistry was HOT. Kudos to Lauren Blakely for another fantastic read!

It can be a Novella or it can be a full length book but when Lauren Blakely writes it you know it’s going to Fantastic. Stud Finder is an Amazing Novella wrapped up in a pretty bow. We meet Dylan & Evie two very different people or so they thought and you can’t help fall for all the quirkiness that the two bring to their story. Dylan is a successful entrepreneur who is looking for that one person to share his life with but being that “nerdy” type he has a hard time finding that special one. Evie is a woman who has always had the knack for matching things, if it was clothes, shoes, accessories so why not be a “Matchmaker” and start your own business. Dylan & Evie know each other but when it comes down to her helping him out to find that perfect match sometimes lines become crossed and maybe the one person who is your match is right in front of you. The banter between the two of them is down right hilarious. With each time they meet we see the uniqueness in each of them. You will cheer them on to see what is right there but sometimes you have to have your fingers crossed and hope they see it too.

Eu sou fã declarada de Lauren Blakely, compro seus livros com 1 clique, sem pestanejar. Stud Finder é um conto bem rápido e fácil de ser lido, doce e sexy com personagens que falam ao coração. A obra poderia ser um pouquinho mais longa? Sem dúvida. Contos sempre me deixam com uma sensação de quero mais. Neste caso eu não senti que o romance ficou devendo no que se refere à caracterização dos personagens mas senti falta de um pouco mais de história, uma convivência mais longa entre os Dylan e Evie, e que trouxesse mais movimento à história. Mesmo assim eu adorei este doce romance: Dylan e Evie me conquistaram, o romance foi adiante sem tropeçar ou andar para traz, o final é pura doçura. Os fãs da autora irão se deliciar com este romance super leve, especial para quem procura um livro com zero angústia ou drama. Como bônus, os apreciadores dos standalones da série Big Rock poderão reencontrar velhos conhecidos.
