The Chelsea Girls audiobook free
I can\’t believe how little I enjoyed this book. I have read \”The Dollhouse\” \”The Address,\” \”The Masterpiece\” and pre-ordered \”The Chelsea Girls.\” I was so looking forward to a good story and this wasn\’t it. The Chelsea Hotel was mentioned as where Hazel and Maxine lived, but other than that, there was nothing of interest about the hotel. The main focus of the story was the McCarthy Hearings that took place in 1950 and it. was dull, dull, dull. The friendship between Maxine and Hazel was nothing out of the ordinary and the story held no emotion because the characters were not filled out enough to really hold my interest. I didn\’t finish it because it was boring to read. I hope her next book is better.

The Chelsea Girls audiobook streamming online
The Book starts with the USO in Naples. Rescue of sorts of 2 young boys from the clutches of a mob with a friendship between 2 of the actors. They return to NY and one will act and the other writes. Sounds simple but it is far from simple. A bossy mother, a married abusive boyfriend, spies, theater people, and in the center is the Chelsea Hotel and its guests. Mix it The McCarthy era blacklist and you have an enjoyable book that is both sad and happy.

Audiobook The Chelsea Girls by Fiona Davis
This amateurish effort takes a great subject but delivers an overwrought complete bore of a novel. I skipped to the end from somewhere in the exhausting mid section and happily closed the book. Melodrama at its worst, and about 300 pages too long.

Audio The Chelsea Girls narrated by Hillary Huber Kirsten Potter
This is just as good as Fiona Davis\’ other novels. The Chelsea Hotel is the backdrop for this novel about the Red Scare of the 1950\’s and the witch hunt that damaged or destroyed the careers of many in the film and theater industry. It\’s an well researched novel and has some unexpected twists that will keep you interested until the end.
