Three Perfect Liars audiobook free
Three Perfect Liars is my second book by Heidi Perks and I liked this one just as much as Her One Mistake. This book kept me guessing for most of the book.
Three Perfect Liars is set in a town 2 hours south of London.
Our three liars are:
Laura, who has just come back to Morris and Wood Advertising Agency from her 6 months maternity leave. Her husband Nate is staying home to look after their son. Laura is having a hard enough time leaving her son and when she gets back to work to find out that the temp (Mia) she hired has been given a permanent position and also that she is now taking over Lauras biggest client, well lets just say that Laura is not happy about it. She knows that Mia is after her job, she just cannot figure out why.
Mia assured Laura during her interview that she was only looking for a temporary job, but that was not the case at all. Mia had every intention of staying on. But why?
Janie is the wife of Morris and Woods CEO Harry. She used to be a barrister in London until 5 years ago. Something happened that made her leave and agree to move 5 years ago when the new office was built and become a stay at home mom.
The story opens with a woman standing on the other side of the river watching the Morris and Woods building burn. And then it jumps back in time 2 months before the fire. It is here that we learn more and more about Mia, Laura and Janie and all the events that lead up to the fire. Each chapter is the POV of the 3 main characters, With the police interview transcripts of different employees at the end of some chapters.
I loved getting the info this way. Because my perspective on each character changed as I learned more and more about them and what secrets they were hiding. While I felt some sympathy towards Laura to start, I was irritated with her at times. Yes you just came back to work to find out you have lost your biggest account. And Yes you are trying to do everything (be a good mom and handle your job) but the more she started obsessing about Mia got on my nerves. Mia, I didnt like to start with but the more I learned about her the more she grew on me. Janie was the character that was the most flat for me. My opinion of her really didnt change. She was just like an oh well character.
I was very engrossed in learning more about these woman and trying to figure who started the fire. The closer it got to the end the more the pieces started to fall together and I figured some things out. But not who started the fire. I had someone in mind but was wrong. And when it was revealed I was like Ooooohhh but then I was scratching my head. I can see the why but not the how.
I thought everything about the book flowed so well together. It was a pretty fast paced book, never a moment that dragged.

Laura has returned to work at Morris and Wood after her maternity leave, only to discover that the woman she brought in to cover for her isnt planning on going anywhere. Despite her close relationship with the agencys powerful CEO, Harry Wood, she feels sidelinedand outmaneuveredas she struggles to balance the twin demands of work and motherhood.
Mia was only supposed to be a temporary hire at Morris and Wood, but shes managed to make herself indispensable to everyone. Everyone, that is, except Laura. If people only knew why she was so desperate to keep her job, they might not want her to stay.
Janie gave up everything to support her husband and the successful agency he runs. But she has her own dark secret to protectand will go to any lengths to keep it safe.
My Thoughts: As I followed along with the alternating narratives in Three Perfect Liars, I was drawn in by each of the women. I could easily see each point of view, so that I knew I would have to choose one of them by the end of the story.Or were they all equally compelling?
The story also takes us to occasional interviews with investigators, who are trying to determine the cause of a massive fire that takes out the company at the center of the tale. Back and forth we go as the timeline carries us along for a ride.
As much as I wanted to find the answers to each womans secrets, the story plodded along with few hints until we approached the final denouement. Who would come out the winner, or would there be none? Who started the fire and whose body was discovered? 4.5 stars.

Audiobook Three Perfect Liars by Heidi Perks
A good weaving and well paced plot. I liked the way the three main characters motives in lying came together at the end and kept me guessing until about three quarters through the book. The end of the book was a bit soppy but over all it was a very good read. I will read Perks next book. Hopefully it is as good as the first.

There was nothing exciting or thrilling about this book. The characters are dull and boring. Disappointed in storyline and could not wait for this book to be finished.
