I love this series, and adore the characters. I had lots of love/hate feelings with this book.
It was well written, like I said the characters are great, and even though there are a ton of sex scenes in the book, there actually was a storyline and plot. While I was reading, I had a hard time putting the book down. But once it was down, I really had to force myself to pick it back up again. I just knew one or the other of the characters was going to do something awful or stupid, and they usually did.
The book bounces from “then” with Gray and Jazz’s past. How she came to live with Gray’s family as a foster child. The brother/sister relationship they forced themselves to abide by. How he brought out her creative side, musically. And convinced her she was special, valued. But all the while denying their feelings for each other.
And then takes us to the “now”. Where we pick up with them continuing to walking on eggshells around each other because of the “Nick encounter”. Jazz deciding enough is enough and she is finally going to take it to the next level. And hopefully convince Gray they belong together. Then there is Gray’s problem. Which he continues to deny is a problem, while he continues to dig himself in deeper with his habit and his sexy dealer.
What I was disappointed with, was all the angst. I know you have to have it to make a good story, but there was just too much for my taste. Then there were the things that I just found difficult to read. I really didn’t care for the drug use. I know it goes along with the whole Sex, Drugs and Rock & Roll stereotype, and if you’d paid attention, hints were dropped in the previous books about what was going on with Gray, I was just hoping it was maybe a red herring and there was another reason for what we were seeing. But alas, no. Then there was Gray’s creep of an older brother and what he did to Jazz. Then Gray’s parents blaming it all on Jazz, because she’s poor and from the wrong side of the tracks. Again, no. Not cool. And finally the lying and deceiving that Gray does throughout the book. And then there is Nick, I’m having a hard time with him, (although he does redeem himself a bit toward the end of the book). I’m not sure his skills with the guitar are enough to continue overlooking the mouth and attitude he continually spews.
I’ve read other rockstar books that were low on the angst, with clean, sober good guys playing their music. And they were great. So it can be done. I’m hoping the next one is better.

Did you hear the latest breaking news about the hot new band Oblivion? Well it seems that members Gray Duffy and Jazz Edwards have finally given into the attraction that has been brewing for years and have officially become a couple.
Can I hear a chorus of its about time please. Anyone with two eyes has seen that these two were meant to be together and it looks like they finally realised the same thing.
Sources close to the band have told us that the couple are deliriously happy despite the hurdles they had to overcome when they first go together. We have been told that guitarist and song writer Gray may have had a problem with drugs which lead to a horrible confrontation with drummer Jazz and fellow band member and former love rival Nick.
But after a short stay in rehab, Gray is back with the band and his lady love Jazz who more than one source is saying hiding a growing secret. Time will tell, but we hear whispers that the band is going to add yet another member.
We cant wait for Oblivions new record to drop, if the first single Sugar Kiss is anything to go by this album is going to skyrocket up the charts. Big things are on the horizon for this band.
Big kudos have to be given to the official biographers of Oblivion, Cari Quinn and Tarryn Elliott. They continue to give the fans just what they are clamouring for with each book they produce.
Twisted is special as it alternates between the past and present to give us the complete love story of our new favourite rock star couple. This reader thinks it enhances their story.
Be ready for the next instalment, Untwisted to see whats happening now with the lovebirds and for Destroyed coming in May. A little birdie tells me that its lead singer Simons story which will no doubt be awesome.
Be sure to grab your tickets for the next tour, this is a band to watch.

Holy hot a$$ guitar player! Gray Duffy has always been the mysterious member of Oblivion. In the previous books, he was alwys the more reserved and quiet one. Having never really completely bonded with the rest of the guys, he was always the reliable member that was solely focused on making music with the band; but his true obsession is and always has been their drummer, Jazz.
After the one night that tested their relationship and put them in “love triangle” status, he’s been devastated and it finally reached its peak in Twisted. Gray spirals out of control causing strain on the band and testing the long time friendship he and Jazz have had since she was placed in his family home while in foster care.
Jazz always considered Gray her best friend and the only real family she’s ever had. But she finally realizes that her love for Gray goes beyond that and she’s ready to admit that to herself and prove to Gray that she’s ready for more.
To see these two FINALLY get together was the the hottest “hallelujah” moments I’ve EVER come across and the most memorable in the Lost in Oblivion series, so far. Gray’s reserved nature is the total opposite to the man he is behind closed doors. He was the sexiest, hottest and dirtiest of the bandmates. Yet, with all his naughtyness, he was still so sweet, gentle and totally devoted to Jazz.
The friendship they forged over the years resulted in a bond that had so much angst and loyalty and it provided for a much more powerful and steamy love affair. It was everything I could have asked for.
And for my fellow Oblivionites, we still get plenty of Nick’s broody and grouchy self; Simon’s slutty and humorous ways and occasionally get to basque in the sweet aura of love that Deacon and Harper deliver with their mere presence.

I can’t rate this series highly enough… you just have to read it!
You get books that are enjoyable at the time of reading but 2 days later you can’t remember a thing about it, and you get books like this that you still remember in detail months later… thats what defines a good book for me. All the characters, flaws and all are ingrained in my subconscious!
Other books which revolve around rock stars that i would recommend include, The Blue Phoenix series, Stage Dive series, Fallen Star series, Gibsons Legacy series, Power Station series and the Burke Brothers series.
