Ursula Nordegren had always used her gift of song to communicate .. . . mostly to herself as of late; she had been confined to a cozy, but cave-like existence high upon Hope Mountain all winter long. Snowed in, she hadn’t seen another human being in months, but spring was coming and Ursula was weary of her low country fears. Summoning up her courage and singing through her doubts, she began her slow descent, only to stumble onto something that she never expected; a man.
She was an angel, thought Wax Mosby in his injured state; . . . “he’d died, and he realized with a lifted heart that she had come to take him to heaven. Surely God didn’t send angels when a man wasn’t going to be taken through the pearly gates”. . . . “except did angels wear britches?”.
Struggling mightily to get the gargantuan man with the multiple injuries to shelter, Ursula begins to realize that God had his own reasons for sending her down the mountain that day, and so he must have a plan for the black, blue, purple, and yellow bruised up man as well, so she better do her best to keep him alive. Only how was she supposed to know that Wax Mosby was considered by many as a mighty dangerous man.
Readers will enjoy this witty conglomeration of initial misunderstandings, as Mary Connealy charms her audience with the Nordegren sisters, and the men who dared to love them.

Just as the two before this story touched my heart. I’m so please with the way these women closed off from the world ( Lowlands they called), still had love of God in their lives. Taught by a frightening paternal grandma and grandpa to fear the outside. Ursula who had a voice from God, Josephine ( Jo) the huntress s keep them with meat, and Ilsa the youngest was the little medicine woman taught by her grandfather to know the herbs and their healing power, all had skills and a joy to live and when the time was right God bought love up that mountain to them. I won’t tell any more Ursala was the hardest to win over even isolated herself for entire winter from her sisters because of fear and found love in an unlike sound gunslinger with a true love for God! Thanks for sharing these great, amazing stories!

Audio Her Secret Song (Brides of Hope Mountain #3) narrated by Barbara McCulloh
Last of the story of these three sisters. Spent a lot of the story being afraid of people and places other than her mountain. Ursula finally saves Wax who seems to be an outlaw of sorts maybe Evan a bounty hunter. They team up to save the Warden ranch. It was slow moving. Had to imagine sneaking about trying to save this ranch without killing anyone. Love blossoms.
