Nemesis audiobook free
Good story. Entertaining. However, it was too rushed. The friends to lover aspect happened too quickly. The growing friendship between them could have been stretched out for a bit longer to make the sudden shift into lovers more believable. And her lack of trust in him was also an issue for me. I hate stories that keep couples apart for stupid reasons that can be resolved if they’d just talked it out.

Audiobook Nemesis by Chantal Fernando
I finished this just to be able to write the review. There is NO story here. So juvenile and absurd… no dialog, no connection, no depth to either character. I have never felt this way after reading anything else. The h is shallow and the only thing we end up knowing about her other than she is a blue eyed stunner is that she is a binge eater. There are more descriptions of what she eats… and it is to the point of gross and admitted bingeing… than of any other picture as to who she really is. The H of course is gorgeous with a six pack and is supposedly anti-commitment…. until of course he begins sleeping with the over-eater. Not one real conversation between them, no relationship and the “nemesis” action is nothing more than a few weeks of the cold shoulder. Sex scenes are many but bland. I’m almost angry about this as I loved this author’s MC series. I have no idea how the same person wrote both.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a nice romance with a few twists.
I have read several,other books by this author and I have enjoyed all of them.

So this is my very first Chantal Fernando book.. And OMG I cannot believe what I have been missing!
It was nothing like I expected & everything I was looking for to get me out of my book slump.
Jacinta is a young woman who is self confident & knows where she is going in life. She is happy and likes to make those around her happy. She also has no problem standing up for herself, which is demonstrated several times throughout this book. She also has a habit of putting others needs before her own which can often lead to entertaining misunderstandings.
Cohen is a lawyer and can hold his own in any situation, except when it comes to Jacinta. He works hard and plays harder. He has no idea why she is different to the others. It confuses him. He has this unexplainable desire to put her needs before his own. Unfortunately for him, there is one little secret that threatens to bring his new found contentment crashing down around his ears!
The banter between Jacinta & Cohen is often hot and steamy but at other times quite comical, particularly when they are in the office attempting to be discreet.
With the direction the story took throughout the book I was really surprised at the ending but totally in love with the way it finished. I couldn’t have asked for a better ending than what I got.
Now that I have had a taste of this authors work, I will definitely be looking to read more of her work as soon as possible!!
