I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Max and Kira work on stopping an unkillable player who is bent on taking over the world and stealing all the resources from the cities. We also find out why Coins use bombs which is not a typical thief weapon. Come read all the shenanigans the group gets into and immerse yourself in this fun world David has created.

I just finished Pyramid Game and I need MORE!
Party Hard completely outshines Ready Player One, so naturally I pick up the sequel as soon as I can only to be blown away again on how AWESOME THIS BOOK IS!!!
I am certainly going to buy the Audible version as well. I could not even put the book down.

good working dialogue between fleshed out characters, a great heist.

Audio Pyramid Game (Pixel Dust #2) narrated by Travis Baldree
Ive read so much bad rpglit with kindle unlimited (so, sooo much). I had low expectations; but I have really enjoyed the two installments by David Petrie. The story is fun, characters interesting, and best of all for a grammar nerd like me – its actually well-written without the misspellings and word misuse that grated on my nerves in a lot of these self or indie published books. Looking forward to the war on Nix!

I just finished reading David Petrie’s Pyramid Game, and I consider this LitRPG done right. The RPG world feels natural, an important and logical part of the story, rather than an construct.
The story is the feature, not the world. Too many RPG-inspired stories seem to feature the RPG aspects, as if those can carry the tale by themselves. Not so here. This series actually begins looking at the implications of training our minds virtually, and I can’t wait to see where it goes from here. The author explores the implications of other gaming practices as well, which I won’t discuss for fear of revealing too much.
My only quibble, and it’s very minor, is that I believe better copyediting would be useful. While reading, I’ve noticed several typos where the wrong words appear, or in one case a character’s name is spelled incorrectly. None of this removes the enjoyment of the books, however.
