the end of the last one I had to dive into this one. Mmmm Krell sounded so damn tasty. I was not disappointed at all. Cyan is a woman with a hell of a past that was critical in the escape of the cyborgs year and years ago. She loved them especially Mavo. But with their freedom she paid a high price. Now in a new body and new life as an Earth government soldier year later, her past has come roaring back. They don’t know her and she has no way of explaining to them who she is without horrible physical pain. They think she’s a spy. So she is given into the keeping of their best and most haunting interrogator Krell. He’s big, scarred, tough, gruff and oh so sexy. This was a fast pace action filled adventure with the edges of deep emotions. It leaves me with wanting to hear Mavo’s love story

Cyan Eous was Emily Pleva, the daughter of the man who created the Cyborgs. She was instrumental in helping them all escape Earth when she found out that they were slated for termination. As Cyan Eous she now works for the government in tracking down the escaped Markus Models, another Earth creation that are androids bent on killing all living things. She is captured by Cyborgs and taken into custody to determine if she is a danger to them. Krell is given the assignment to find out whether Cyan is a threat to the Cyborgs. Krell has been heavily scarred by humans when he was on Earth and is considered undesirable to cyborg females because of his looks. He isolates himself from other Cyborgs due to his status and concentrates on his work. His life seems lonely and joyless. When Cyan is put under his responsibility, she manages to get under his defenses and he finds that he is slowly becoming attracted to her and fills a part of his life that was empty. This is one of my favorite books in this series. Cyan is kick ass, smart, brave and due to her knowledge and abilities she is able to greatly help the Cyborgs. She helps Krell out of his isolation and their building romance toward each other is very appealing. It’s not love at first sight (more like lust at first sight this being a Laurann Dohner book there is sex right off the bat), but taking small steps moving forward in their relationship only to fall back. Krell doesn’t know whether to trust Cyan, but he also has to come to terms that a female would find him desirable. This can be read as a stand alone book.

Audiobook Taunting Krell by Laurann Dohner
I have read and re-read this book many times. It is without a doubt one of my favorites by Laurann. She has quite a few series going on: Cyborg, New Species, Raines, Zorn Warriors, etc. so there is so much to choose from. When Laurann decides to write a book about a kick ass woman, no one does it better. Cyan Eous is the star of this book and boy is it fun! I would love nothing better than for Laurann to do a follow up on this character. Krell is a damaged Cyborg who is given the task of trying to keep her safe and at the same time find out if she is an enemy of Cyborgs. What a hoot that is~~~~Cyan runs circles around him and everyone else. This story could have developed into something far different due to both character’s pasts. Instead, Laurann chose to give us a book with so much humor, not to mention action. Lots of action. Of course, there is always good sex too. If you are not a Laurann Dohner fan, you will be once you read this book. Then pick up the Zorn Warrior book entitled Berrr’s Vow (no, not a spelling error). If you are like me and love to read about strong willed, courageous women, you will enjoy this book also. Then go pick up the New Species book entitled “Wrath” and you will find another book along these same lines. But none of Laurann’s books, in my opinion, are as much fun to read as Taunting Krell.

Amazing! Action packed and captivating! Dohner has scored a homerun with book 7 in the Cyborg Seduction Series. I was riveted from page one. How original! This series just went from great to awesome! Tall, dark, and grey is my new obsession.
The plot begins on a high-note with, computer-hacker, Emily Pelva trying to help cyborgs escape earth. Due to her physical handicaps, she is left with no other option than to stay behind and monitor their getaway while her best friend, and cyborg bodyguard, Mavo, and his people, escape.
Things take a terrifying twist when Emily is found out for helping the cyborgs escape. She is on the cusp of dying from injuries sustained upon her discovery when her father, the creator of cyborgs, decides to change Emily into something other than human, in the hopes of saving her life.
Years pass, and the reader is left wondering what happened to Emily, when we are suddenly introduced to Cyan, a female who is more than she appears. Captured by cyborgs while on a routine response mission to a distress-call in space, the cyborgs take her to their planet, Garden and discover that she is more than human. Forced to never reveal her past identity, Cyan finds her fate in the hands of a very large, and terrifying Krell.
Krell is a scarred cyborg who enjoys his solace. Considered unattractive to female cyborgs in his society, he finds himself forcefully united with Cyan. Krell doesnt trust Cyan, however, desires soon trump his mission, sending their story into a whirlwind of suspense and action.
Cyan doesnt care that Krell has a few scars, and wants to climb him the moment she finds herself in his hands. She has it bad for Krell, and the two soon find that trusting one another will have eventually come.
As a reader, you will fall in love with Krell and Cyan. Cyan is such a strong character. She is the perfect fit for Krell. Her love, passion, and unrelenting ability to help others brings a refreshing new light to the Cyborg Seduction Series. Cyan becomes a person we all want to look up to, and Krell eventually finds that no matter who Cyan really is, or was, he wants her to be his. Their connection is powerful.
This series really hits a whole new level with this installment. I cant believe I am reading the same author that wrote books 1-3 of the Cyborg Seduction Series. The books from 4 until now have been slowly gaining momentum, but this particular book brings a whole new dynamic to the series. Because of Cyan and her presence, it is evident that change for the cyborgs way of life will be undergoing some major reconstruction. This was foreshadowed in book 6, when Zorus fell in love with Charlie. Now with Cyan in the mix, I am interested to see how Cyborgs will grow as a people.
I am excited to see what Book 8 will bring with Blackie. Currently I am re-reading this series. The stories are so much fun to read, and if you are a first time reader to Dohner, it is best if you read everything in order to obtain the full value. It is possible to read each book individually, but you will not regret starting from the start.

Free audio Taunting Krell – in the audio player below
Very similer to Eve Langlais series (why do all the Cyborgs spin off cultures seem to involve using women?) This book had no rapey scenes and was fun. I really liked the main female and how Krell and Cyan interact, I don’t think I’ll carry on with the series (I’ve only read this one) as the councils ‘we’ll give you to a male’ Pee’d me off like they own her because she’s female – why do they Cyborg women allow that (ok they get a couple of blokes to play with) but that attitude makes me want to blow them up!
I liked the relationship between the two characters it built nicely and he seemed to want to meet her half way even if he was scared 🙂 Give it a go
